Season begins in super style
We started this Cyclo Cross season with a bang at our first training weekend, The evodevo super camp……
50 riders and their parents had a great weekend in Yorkshire. We even booked cyclocross weather! The camp included skills sessions, race drills, pit practice, relay races, individual races and class room sessions for the riders. We also ran parent/helper specific sessions separate to the riders to help the teams that help the riders. These sessions covered pits tips & practical advice, a session with a UCI commissaire and advice on how to manage the race day. We had special guest sessions from Chimp management’s Tim Buckle who ran a series of brilliant talks for the groups all in aid of the CRY charity.
The weekend was a great success, and it was brilliant to see riders from all over the country having fun and socialising with each other, but don’t just take our word for it;
Riders said, “really fun absolutely loved the training and the workshops were really helpful for me and my dad” & “absolutely loved it and learnt loads!”
Parents said, “Social aspect and brilliant quality coaching” & “Insight to alternative ways of doing things and getting the riders to understand that’s it’s not all about just jumping on the saddle”
Funding
Our activities can only happen if we have funds to run them!!
We have great plans and are working hard to make Evodevo grow, but we can only do this with your support.
- We need money to continue helping more young riders, their families and the cyclo cross community. Donations can be made via our website here . Please also help us to spread the word and raise the awareness with potential donors, partners and new riders.
